Mission:
IntHealthCert is a Global Healthcare quality organization promoting continuous improvement for Emerging Nations. It has three core functions:1)Patient Safety, 2) Alternative Dispute Resolution System, and 3)Education.
Vision Statement:
- Create a network for International Leadership in the form of Committees and Satellite offices in Latin America, Europe, and Asia.
- Promote and Assist International Medical Facilities achieve JCI accreditation.
- Offer Specialized Certification Programs to facilitate Quality Improvement.
- Offer educational conferences, workshops, certification, and membership to all qualified professionals worldwide.
- Provide Consumer advocacy support on how to navigate the international healthcare system.
Advisors:
John Berkowicz
John Berkowicz is a graduate of The John Hopkins University, has a Masters in Science from the University of South Wales in Australia, and holds the position of medical technologist and microbiologist in the American Society of Clinical Pathology.
Berkowicz previously worked with the Environmental Protection Authority of Australia, and he brings his expertise in laboratory procedures and the coordination of international interests as one of the founding directors of IntHealthCert
Ian Jacobs
Ian Jacobs currently heads several international healthcare organizations and is a member of the International Health Economics Association, the American Society for Health Economists, The Travel and Tourism Research Association, the Arizona-Mexico Commission. He has worked in the administrative departments of medical and dental clinics and pathology laboratories in Sydney, Australia, and as a financial consultant for private medical practices.
Jacobs has spent several years overseeing comprehensive research into medical tourism, with the aim of developing innovative, unique concepts. He has supervised an elite group of experts from a wide variety of backgrounds, including Ivy League universities in the United States. Jacobs will bring his research findings, extensive alliances and partnerships, and his experience organizing large-scale international events to bear on the launch of IntHealthCert.
Joanne Parrow, MA, Public Relations Director
Joanne Parrow is an expert in marketing and public relations. She offers her vast experience in conceptualizing, developing, and implementing comprehensive marketing and communications programs in the healthcare industry. Prior to joining IntHealthCert, Joanne was a Senior Marketing Specialist at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. She also worked as an online marketing manager in the Online Strategy Department at Nature Made Vitamins, a company that produces supplements and nutrition bars. In addition, Joanne worked at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) in Washington DC promoting partnerships between the federal government and industry for the development and commercialization of biomedical technologies. While working at the NIH, Joanne also produced special events for the White House.
She received her bachelors in accounting from Saint Joseph's University in Philadelphia, PA, and her master's degree from the University of Maryland.
